You Can’t Build Happiness on Someone Else’s Wealth. Premiere!

Vladimir Sollogub’s comedy-vaudeville «You Can’t Build Happiness on Someone Else’s Wealth» is a lively story set in the house of landowner Groznov, where preparations are underway for the lady of the house’s name day celebration. To add a special touch, two writers - one from Moscow and the other from St. Petersburg - are invited to stage a play. Their creative collaboration, however, quickly turns into a chain of hilarious misunderstandings. Amid clashes of personalities, opinions, and ambitions, unexpected romantic intrigues begin to unfold.
Light-hearted and full of irony, this play gently reminds us that true happiness cannot be built on someone else’s fortune.
