The Music of Dmitri Shostakovich

Qazaqconcert invites you to an evening with the Kazakh State Symphony Orchestra, dedicated to the timeless masterpieces of world classical music.

At the conductor’s podium will be Roberto Gottipavero (Italy) - rector of the Venice Conservatory, conductor and educator, celebrated for his profound understanding of symphonic repertoire and his refined sense of musical dramaturgy. Under his baton, the orchestra will perform one of the most powerful works of the twentieth century - Dmitri Shostakovich’s Symphony No. 5.

A special highlight of the evening will be the performance of Italian pianist Cecilia Francini, who will bring to life the lyrical beauty and melodic richness of Nino Rota’s Piano Concerto.
