How do you live when everything has been taken from you-love, homeland, profession? When you’re lying in a cheap hotel room in a foreign country, searching for any reason to get up and go outside? When you leave the light on at night because you’re afraid of the darkness and loneliness? When every night you wake up screaming from nightmares that once were real?..
So begins the story of Ravic, a surgeon who escaped from Germany to Paris in the late 1930s. Without documents, without the right to live or work, he struggles to find any meaning in his existence.
But fate gives him one more chance.
A story of true heroism, love and friendship, death and revenge - the play «Arch of Triumph» is based on the work of the great romantic of the 20th century, Erich Maria Remarque.
