JAZZ & ROCK

One of the most dazzling cultural events of the late autumn season will be the concert «JAZZ & ROCK», taking place on 28 November 2025 at 19:00 in the concert hall of the Yerkegali Rakhmadiyev State Academic Philharmonic. This evening, the K. Zhumakenov Wind Orchestra will take the audience on an unforgettable musical journey.

Melodies inscribed in golden letters in the history of world music will gain new life. On one stage, the gentle sophistication of jazz will merge with the impetuous drive of rock - each composition revealing its own character and filling the hall with an electrifying energy.

The programme features gems of jazz classics - works by Glenn Miller, Louis Prima, Duke Ellington, and Joe Zawinul, alongside iconic hits by Queen, Deep Purple, Nirvana, AC/DC, Europe, and Michael Jackson. Rhythmic jazz standards such as «In the Mood», «Sing, Sing, Sing», and «Take the A Train» will be performed side by side with legendary rock anthems - «Bohemian Rhapsody», «Smoke on the Water», «Highway to Hell», «Thriller», «Smells Like Teen Spirit», and «The Final Countdown» - all presented in fresh, symphonic arrangements.

Each piece will acquire new colours through the vibrant live vocals and the powerful sound of the orchestra, opening up boundless horizons of the musical world to the audience. The evening will culminate in Queen’s iconic medley «We Will Rock You / We Are the Champions», filling the hall with a spirit of unity and inspiration.
