The Spotted Dog Running Along the Seashore. Touring performance of the I. Omarov Theatre in Taraz
The celebrated work by Chingiz Aitmatov, The Spotted Dog Running Along the Seashore, calls upon us to honour ancestral traditions and preserve the continuity between generations.
The story follows four men of one family who set out to hunt in the open sea. Enshrouded by a thick fog, they lose their way. Exhausted by thirst and drained of strength, the three elders leave the very last drop of water in a flask to the young boy accompanying them. One by one, they embark on their final journey, sacrificing their own lives so that the child may live and carry their lineage forward.
