Show «Birds» - premiere of musical dedication to the 100th anniversary of Nurgisa Tlendiev
Almaty will host one of the key cultural events of the year — the premiere of the symphonic show "BIRDS", dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the outstanding Kazakhstani composer Nurgisa Tlendiev. The shows will take place on September 16 and 17 on the country's main stage — the Palace of the Republic.
The program will center on a new large-scale work by Canadian composer Dmitry Varelas, written specifically for this project. The musical canvas is inspired by images of nature, myths and the legacy of Tlendiev - it echoes the Kazakh steppe, folklore and philosophy of the East, intertwined with the language of modern symphonic music.
A special place in the project is occupied by the participation of the Symphony Orchestra of India - a group created by maestro Marat Bisengaliev. This year, the orchestra celebrates its 20th anniversary and has already gained international recognition, touring the stages of Europe, Asia and the Middle East. It is under the direction of Marat Bisengaliev that this work will be presented to the Kazakh public for the first time.
More than 60 artists will gather on stage: a symphony orchestra, a choir, multi-instrumentalists, soloists and dancers. The show is complemented by expressive scenography, light and plasticity, turning music into a lively and deep visual experience. The composer's figure in the production will appear as the spirit of an eagle - a symbol of creative flight, inner freedom and the connection of times.
The show «BIRDS» is not just a concert. It is an act of memory, a cultural manifesto and an artistic reflection on how the steppe sounds today and what we have inherited from its great voices.
