PARADE OF QOBYZ PLAYERS

The National Art Centre Khalyk Kazynasy of Kazakhconcert presents a concert of traditional art - «Parade of Qobyz Players».

The audience will be treated to an evening where the qobyz reveals the full depth and beauty of its sound. The programme features kuy masterpieces such as «Akku», «Saryarka», «Koshtasu», «Korkyt», «Shyngyrau», and other treasures that have become the true heritage of national music.

The concert will offer:

- kuys performed in a new format;
- original kuys, epic chants (zhyr), songs, and choreographic compositions;
- a creative contest between qobyz and dombra players;
- encounters of stage masters with young talents;
- a unique chance to hear each musician’s individual performing style;
- the fusion of traditional artistry with modern stage forms.

The evening will feature performances by Zhanqash Zhumabekov, Sayan Akmolda, Batyrbek Bainazarov, Zhanar Zhussipova, Maksat Medebek, Adilet Azbayev, Olzhas Kurmanbek, Akerke Tazhibayeva, Saltanat Ersultan, Dariya Zhumagulova, Aidos Ongarbay, Aigerim Akhmetzhanova, and many others.
