Drumming Masterclass by Yuriy Leonov (for adults)
We invite you to a unique masterclass on playing ethnic drums!
The workshop will be led by Yuriy Leonov - master of ethnic percussion, member of the band Bugarabu, member of the International Eurasian Creative Union, and holder of the title Golden Artist of the Year.
A drumming masterclass is an event of incredible energy and power.
Here, you will encounter diverse people and an astonishing variety of drums, tambourines, and many other percussion instruments from around the world.
This one-of-a-kind programme is designed to broaden horizons, offering a journey into the world of ethnic instruments from different cultures and traditions.
The finale will feature a collective performance unlike anything else - a sound that will never be repeated again, as each group is unique, with its own inner world, energy, and rhythm. Imagine how amazing that will be!
Instruments will be provided at the masterclass.
Yuriy Leonov is a percussion master skilled in ethnic drumming traditions from around the world. At the age of 13, he became a pupil of the world-renowned Indian musician Naushad Ahmed - a master of the classical Indian tabla drums. He later undertook specialised training in India. Today, Yuriy performs both as a soloist and as a member of the music ensembles Bugarabu, Paradox, and BoomerangS.
