The Princess on the Pea

«The Princess on the Pea» is a famous fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen, telling the story of a prince searching for a real princess. The princess had to pass a test to prove her sophistication and royal descent.

The prince didn't want to marry any girl, so he decided to find his true love. One day, a young girl comes to his palace claiming to be a princess. To make sure that her words are true, the queen arranges a test: she hides a pea under twenty mattresses and offers the princess to spend the night on this unusual bed. In the morning the girl complains of discomfort, and the queen realizes that she is a real princess, because only a true princess can feel the pea. (A play with interactive for children)
