You're sharing. We're playing
Playback is a psychological interactive theatre. During the performance, any spectator can tell a story from his or her life. The actors immediately create an improvisational performance on this basis without preparation. In one evening we will play 2-3 long and 4-5 short stories.
What is the psychological power of playback?
Playback theatre is similar to formations, but acts in a gentler and safer way. When actors play a story, the storyteller becomes an observer, which gives him the opportunity to see his situation from the outside in an aesthetic light. Looking at oneself as a hero or heroine of a dramatic work allows one to understand oneself better and find a solution to the problem on one's own. Very often the audience feels emotionally relieved and euphoric after seeing their story.
Can we not say anything and just watch? Yes, you can. Watching other people's stories play out is also fascinating. You'll see how carefully we handle the stories we tell. Maybe afterwards you'll want to tell something too. Don't hold back.
Do I have to come prepared with a story? No, you don't. We even recommend that you don't prepare anything in advance, but listen to how other people's stories resonate in your heart and share what is important to you at the moment.
Great luck to get to these these February performances. Pavel Toporkov, a leading master from Novosibirsk, actor and playback director, creator of the Creator Festival, medical clown nicknamed Tumasha Sovetsky and just a wonderful person, will come to us.
Together with the AsAbAlAr theatre in Almaty, Pavel developed a unique format, adding healing clowning to the playback, which made the playback much deeper and more effective.
We want the psychological play to have a cosy and trusting atmosphere, so we have had to strictly limit the number of seats. Purchase your tickets in advance.
