The chamber music evening “Dialogue Between Double Bass and Violin’ features soloists: Bagdat Abilkhanov, Honoured Worker of Kazakhstan (violin), Yermek Sarsembayev (double bass), and the Astana Opera Chamber Orchestra conducted by Ruslan Baimurzin.
The concert programme includes a masterpiece of string classics – a double concerto by the outstanding 19th-century Italian double bass virtuoso, composer and conductor Giovanni Bottesini, performed by the Chamber Orchestra.
Also featured is the dazzling virtuoso piece Czardas by V. Monti, performed on the double bass.
