Haloperidol. Stories from the Ward
Haloperidol. Stories from the Ward is a new production by the Ilya Bobkov Studio, performed in the genre of psychiatric stand-up.
This is more than just a play - it’s a therapeutic session where the audience becomes part of the psychiatric ward’s night duty.
A doctor, the head of the department, a nurse, a paramedic, and an intern share stories - real, frightening, funny, absurd, yet profoundly human. Within these stories, there are no patients - only us, with our fears, love, pain, sleepless nights, guilt, and our desperate hope to be understood.
Each story is a diagnosis of society. Each burst of laughter - a shield against madness.
Before the performance begins, the audience is greeted by a nurse who hands out shoe covers and a «patient questionnaire.»
By the end, it becomes unclear who is «normal» and who has simply learned to hide their cracks.
«Everything that seems like madness was once just pain left without an answer.»
A play about those who live on the fragile line between compassion and professional exhaustion.
About those who face madness every day - and still manage to laugh.
