Leaving for Moscow in pursuit of knowledge, his greatest dream was to contribute to the prosperity of Kazakhstan. Carrying both love and purpose in his heart, Zhurnaq returns home only to encounter a sweeping upheaval. The iron grip of the Soviet system refused to release a nation longing for freedom.

This drama is dedicated to the free generation of an independent country. It tells the sorrowful yet heroic story of the young Kazakhs whose courage and suffering paved the way to Independence.
