Agnia is a woman of unbreakable spirit. She works in a male-dominated trade: designing and building brick stoves. She goes ice fishing and raises her son alone. Life in the Far North is harsh. Her home is dilapidated, and with only seasonal work she cannot save enough for a new apartment. Along with other residents, she is entitled to resettlement, but Boris, the acting mayor, is in no hurry to act. When Boris hires Agnia to build a stove in his mansion, she seizes the opportunity to pursue her greatest goal - moving into a modern apartment. And she achieves it in a most unexpected and extraordinary way.
