«The Road to Home» - Stage Performance
«The Road to Home» is a stage production inspired by «Memory», a play by Son Lavrentiy and Lee Stanislav. It tells one of the most tragic chapters in history - the 1937 deportation of Koreans from the Russian Far East to the Kazakh SSR. Through the intertwined stories of several families, the play reveals the hardships of resettlement during the early years in Kazakhstan and the trials of the Second World War. Despite pain, separation, and loss, people hold on to what keeps them human - faith, friendship, love, and above all, hope for a future where the truth will be remembered. At the heart of the production lies the strength, compassion, and generosity of the Kazakh people, who shared their bread and shelter with those who had lost everything.
