Georgian Wines
Did you know that Georgia is one of the oldest wine-producing countries in the world, where wine has been crafted in qvevri for over 8,000 years? It is not just a drink, but a true story captured in every glass.
IWINE Sommelier School invites you to a tasting evening dedicated to the classics of Georgian winemaking. The tasting will introduce you to a variety of styles and regions - from light whites to full-bodied reds:
Manavi - a fresh, citrusy light introduction from Kakheti;
Kisi - an aromatic white with soft structure and fruity notes;
Tsolikauri - mineral and clean, a typical representative of Imereti;
Rkatsiteli Qvevri - an amber wine aged using the ancient qvevri technique;
Mukuzani - a structured red from Saperavi grapes with oak and ripe berry notes;
Kindzmarauli - a soft semi-sweet finish with rounded tannins and juicy aftertaste.
The evening format with light snacks will help you feel the logic of Georgian winemaking - from fresh and light to rich and deep. This evening provides an understanding of style, region, and the character of Georgian wines, revealing their richness glass by glass.
Places are limited, so book in advance to be part of this unique wine journey.
IWINE - the first sommelier school in Central Asia. Here you will learn to unlock the flavors and aromas of wine, understand its varieties and regions, and immerse yourself in wine culture like a true expert.
