«The Cow»

«The Cow» is a visual-performative tale about growing up, loneliness, and the power of invisible bonds.

Inspired by the motifs of the Brothers Grimm and the Slavic folktale Kroshechka-Khavroshechka, The Cow tells the story of a girl who feels like a stranger in her own family - and of her cow, the only being who offers her warmth and care.

It’s a performance about generational patterns, loss, faith, and the chance to begin anew. Here, death is not an end, but a passage. Rituals, charms, and curses become keys to another layer of reality.

The performance is entirely created by one artist. From puppets to costumes, from sound to movement - it's the result of a multidisciplinary vision, where directing, performance, music, and visual language are seamlessly interwoven.

Each show is unique. There’s a structure, but the path unfolds through live interaction with the space and the audience.

The premiere took place in May 2023 in Tashkent (TIAF). Since then, The Cow has journeyed through Central Asia - Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan - adapting to stages, galleries, and open-air venues.
