Swan Lake is a performance after which one wants to return to the theatre again and again. From the very first bars of Tchaikovsky’s music, the audience is transported into a world where beauty conquers time and every movement gives birth to a living emotion.

While carefully preserving the line of the great tradition, the choreographer fills the performance with freshness, emotional depth and a distinctive plastic expressiveness that make the action vibrant and contemporary. The musical interpretation enhances the dramaturgy of the ballet, allowing Tchaikovsky’s score to be heard as if for the very first time.

Although Swan Lake was not recognized as a masterpiece during Tchaikovsky’s lifetime, today it is the most frequently performed ballet in the world. And this is no coincidence: the tragic story of Odette and Siegfried, born by an enchanted lake and forged through trials, continues to touch the hearts of audiences of all generations. The culmination of the evening is invariably the famous adagio of the “White Act” – a moment considered one of the pinnacles of ballet art.

This production is a chance to come into contact with a legend. To meet the gaze of the white swans. To hear a love story told without words. And to feel how Tchaikovsky’s immortal masterpiece comes alive on the stage of the Astana Opera House.
