Lermontov. A hero of our time. Sats
The play-reading invites the audience to get acquainted with a unique theatrical genre in which actors read the text by role, allowing the events to unfold in the audience's imagination.
The first part of the play is devoted to the key moments of Lermontov's life: the death of his mother, his journey to the Caucasus, his first love, Pushkin's death, his exile, his participation in military actions and others.
The second part of the performance takes the audience into the world of the novel «A Hero of Our Time», focusing on the story «Bela». The protagonist, the young officer Grigory Pechorin, falls in love with Bela, the young daughter of a Circassian prince and, following his selfish desires, kidnaps her. This incident becomes the beginning of events that reveal the contradictory nature of the protagonist.
The production is part of a series of reading performances based on the works of classic world literature and is aimed at a deeper understanding of the writer's work, inviting the audience to a dialogue about eternal values such as honor, love, duty and personal responsibility.
