The First UNICEF Gala Dinner in Almaty

For the first time, Almaty joins the global tradition of UNICEF charity gala dinners - events that unite inspiration, culture, and generosity - already held in cities such as New York, London, Istanbul, Hong Kong, Abu Dhabi, and Saint-Tropez.

The main purpose of the Gala Dinner is to raise funds for UNICEF’s programme aimed at strengthening the mental health and well-being of adolescents in Kazakhstan.

All proceeds from the auction and ticket sales will be directed towards the implementation of a comprehensive system for early detection of anxiety and depression, the development of children’s social and emotional learning, and the provision of specialised support for adolescents facing serious challenges. The goal is to recognise early signs of suicidal behaviour and reduce suicide rates.

Through this UNICEF initiative, over 50,000 professionals in education and healthcare will be trained, reaching more than 140,000 children and adolescents across the Almaty and Turkistan regions. Up to 10,000 young people experiencing severe difficulties will receive qualified psychological assistance.

Guests of the evening will enjoy an exquisite dinner prepared by the chef of The Ritz-Carlton, Almaty, a musical programme, and a charity auction featuring exclusive lots.

The stage will welcome UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador in Kazakhstan, ALEM, along with other renowned performers whose names remain a surprise for now.
