Tales of the Vienna Woods

The play centers on the story of a young girl, Marianne, whose future has already been decided by her family: she is married to a wealthy but rude butcher, Oskar. Everything changes when she meets Alfred in the Vienna Woods, a frivolous and charming man who promises freedom and love. Enchanted by her dream, Marianne leaves with him, but very soon the illusion collapses: Alfred turns out to be irresponsible, and society mercilessly condemns her for trying to choose her own path.

Against the backdrop of songs, fairground fun and light comedy, a dark reality gradually emerges - the story turns into a tragic parable about the fragility of human happiness, broken dreams and the cruelty of an indifferent society.
