The Astana Opera Chamber Orchestra will present an evening of symphonic classics devoted to the music of Romantic composers, under the baton of Giuseppe Acquaviva (Italy) and featuring renowned Kazakhstani violinist, virtuoso, and passionate advocate of violin music Bagdat Abilkhanov.
The programme includes two outstanding works: Max Bruch’s celebrated Violin Concerto, which rivals in popularity the great concertos of Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Tchaikovsky, Brahms, and Sibelius; and Felix Mendelssohn’s Symphony No. 4, inspired by his travels in Italy and imbued with the bright, sunlit colours of Italian folklore.
