“A wealthy merchant had three beautiful daughters, and the youngest was his favorite. As he prepared for a trading journey overseas, he called his daughters and asked: ‘What shall I bring you as a gift?’ The eldest asked for a golden crown adorned with gemstones, the middle daughter for a mirror made of oriental crystal, and the youngest requested a scarlet flower, more beautiful than any in the world...”
Several Russian folk tales served as inspiration for The Magic Flower, including the legendary tale of Sadko and the well-known fairy tale The Scarlet Flower. With many songs and intriguing plot twists, the fairy tale comes to life with new facets and colours.
