This production of «Aibolit» is a modern reimagining of K. I. Chukovsky’s timeless classic, beloved by generations.
Which child has not heard of the Kind Doctor? But who knows why he sits under a tree, or how he learned to speak the language of animals and birds? The creators of the show have found answers to these mysteries.
Here is the story: Aibolit’s parents were zoologists who dreamt all their lives of finding the mysterious Tyanitolkai. They even set off to Africa in search of it, together with Aibolit’s younger brother. But when the family perished in a shipwreck, little Aibolit was left all alone. Yet he never stopped loving animals and birds, and continued to dream of Tyanitolkai. Years later, by a twist of fate, Aibolit also travels to Africa to save sick animals - a journey that becomes the most important adventure of his life. Because in distant Africa...
