The ballet Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, written by Hungarian composer Tibor Kocsák in collaboration with choreographer Gyula Harangozó, brought its creators worldwide fame. The production has been shown 120 times at the Hungarian State Opera, the Erkel Theatre and the Open-Air Festival in Szeged. It is one of the most frequently staged ballets of our time, which successfully represents the national culture of Hungary in countries such as Estonia, Russia, Finland, Australia, Hong Kong, Macau.

The Brothers Grimm’s fairy tale Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is probably known to all children. This is a story about a beautiful orphan princess and an evil stepmother who often asks the mirror who is the most beautiful woman in the world. Jealousy for the grown-up Snow White pushes the queen to do evil – she orders the servant to kill the girl in the forest, but the princess manages to hide in the dwarf’s house. Who and how will save Snow White from her stepmother's persecution, children (and adults too) will learn from the ballet-fairy tale about good and evil, trustfulness, purity and true love.
