The Almaty Museum was founded in 2002 and, since 2016, has been located in the building of the former Verny Children's Shelter. In its 11 halls, the entire history of Almaty is preserved: here you can explore different eras of the southern capital, including 'Ancient History of Almaty', 'Medieval History of Almaty', 'The Origins of Kazakh Statehood', 'The Verny Period of Almaty's History', 'Almaty in the 20th Century', and more.
