The plot is intriguing. Senior students come to congratulate their teacher on her birthday. At first glance, it seems like a sweet surprise, but appearances are deceiving. Each character has their own goal, separated from it by just a single step. Will they all reconcile with their conscience? How far are they willing to go? In the pursuit of selfish interests, any means seem justified.

The play explores generational conflicts, the challenges faced by the younger generation, and the relationships between students, parents, teachers, and society. A work that caused a great stir in the 1980s remains relevant today. The production is directed by Yeslyam Nurtazin, Artistic Director of Astana Musical Theatre.
