FREEDOM FESTIVAL IV: The Pulse of world ballet in Almaty

Mark your calendars: on November 21 and 23, the stages of Almaty Theatre and Astana Ballet will become the epicenter of a grand ballet event.

The evening will open with the legendary ballet «Paquita»—a benchmark of classical art that embodies the very best that ballet has achieved throughout its history. This performance is the pride of the «Astana Opera» State Opera and Ballet Theatre, where under the artistic direction of the distinguished Altynai Asylmuratova, tradition and mastery find new life.

Starring in the lead roles is the stellar duo of Chloe Misseldine and Aaron Bell, principal dancers of the American Ballet Theatre (ABT, New York). Chloe is a finalist of the Youth America Grand Prix and one of the world's brightest young ballerinas, while Aaron is an artist with unique technique and charisma who has conquered the world's leading stages. Their joint performance in Almaty and Astana is an event not to be missed.

In the second act, for the first time in Kazakhstan, the Berlin Ballet Company will perform the «Choreo X» program. You will witness bold works by iconic contemporary choreographers such as David Dawson, Marco Goecke, Nacho Duato, Angelin Preljocaj, and others, whose innovative ideas are shaping the face of 21st-century intellectual ballet.

The festival is organized by the international investment holding company Freedom Holding Corp.
