The dance performance HARU | ONE DAY is a unique synthesis of traditional and stylised Korean dance, where every moment becomes a reflection of the beauty, depth, and harmony inherent in Korean art. The production explores the symbolic meaning of a single day in human life, guiding the audience through shifting states, emotions, and the rhythms of nature.
The choreography is crafted by masters of the highest calibre. Choi Taesong, a renowned figure in traditional Korean arts, holds a PhD from Hanyang University, serves as Director of the Training Centre at Jeonju University, and Deputy Director of the Munmo-Ilmu Traditional Arts Centre. As a laureate of the Presidential Award in Traditional Music (Busan Dongrae), he brings an authentic voice of Korea's cultural heritage to the stage.
Anna Tsoy, the chief choreographer and ballet master of the Republican State Academic Korean Theatre, is known for her productions marked by vivid movement and profound emotional resonance.
The performance blends ancient rituals and traditions through classical Korean dances with contemporary stylised interpretations, creating a captivating atmosphere where the past and present converge. Elegant costumes, live music, and refined choreography imbue the piece with a special magic that immerses the audience in the world of Korean dance culture.
Featuring the Korean dance studio Bidulgi at the Republican State Academic Korean Theatre, led by Honoured Artist of the Republic of Kazakhstan Rimma Kim. Artistic direction by Tskhai Alexandra.
