«Manifesto of Time»
Attention! Opening on 12 June 2025!
This innovative exhibition transcends traditional forms of art, inviting visitors to reflect on the evolving relationships between time, human attention, and the expanding virtual realm through an immersive, multisensory experience.
Created by artist Katya Shkolnik, the exhibition unfolds in two interconnected parts. The first is a video performance featuring an original reading of the Manifesto on Time. The second is a 3D video art piece that offers an allegorical interpretation of the Manifesto’s core ideas. An integral element of this immersive journey is an electroacoustic installation. Together, these components create an environment that dissolves the boundaries between the physical and the virtual, drawing audiences deeper into the artist’s vision.
The Manifesto on Time is a critical exploration of humanity’s digital existence, raising urgent questions about the value of our attention, the economy of time in virtual spaces, and the very definition of presence and permanence in an increasingly digitised world. Presented at the A. Kasteyev State Museum of Arts of the Republic of Kazakhstan, this immersive multimedia installation offers a unique opportunity to engage with these concepts on both an emotional and intellectual level, pushing the frontiers of contemporary artistic expression.
