Masterclass «Shadow Theatre» after the performance of «Thumbelina»
Right after the «Thumbelina» performance, we invite you to join our workshop «SHADOW THEATRE», where we will explore the world of shadow play and its fascinating characters.
Our young guests will discover the different types of shadow theatre and learn that shadow figures can be created:
- with the help of hands,
- from paper, cardboard, plastic or leather,
- using the human body.
Together with the children, we’ll try creating several shadow figures using only our hands.
Next, choosing a familiar fairytale such as «Teremok», the children will make a puppet inspired by the story.
We’ll provide everything they need:
- templates,
- scissors,
- cardboard or paper,
- a stick.
With the help of our instructors, the children will divide roles and rehearse like real actors. Finally, we’ll invite parents into the hall for a short improvisational shadow performance.
