My Name Is Kozha. Aimauytov Theatre
«When I try to say my name, my tongue seems to stick to the roof of my mouth. I sometimes wonder if having a pleasant name is really such a great happiness?» Who would have thought that a person’s name could play such an important role in their future life?
Based on the famous novella «My Name Is Kozha» by classic Kazakh children’s writer Berdibek Sokpakbaev, this stage adaptation follows Kozha as he finds his way out of various situations, celebrating timeless values such as friendship, kindness, and sincerity. Through the story of a teenage boy, the performance explores relationships between parents and children, school life, and the surrounding world.
