Mukagali
Do we truly know Mukagali? A poet whose life was a constant struggle against injustice, whose soul bore the weight of disappointment and quiet despair. In moments of darkness, he turned to his pen - his only refuge. He poured his sorrow onto the page, confiding in poetry as one would in a friend. «To you, even if you're a girl, I’ll tell my secrets...» he once wrote to Fariza, his poetic confidante. His verse - fierce, uncontainable - burst forth from his heart, refusing to be silenced.
This production is an intimate encounter with the thunderous poetry of Mukagali Makataev - a revered Kazakh poet who found solace, truth, and identity in verse. His poetry gave voice to his highest thoughts, his deepest emotions, and his most sacred confessions.
Written and directed by Kuanlyk Kasymov, Laureate of the Chingiz Aitmatov International Award. A performance not merely to be watched - but to be felt.
