«These Roads Must Not Be Forgotten» - A Commemorative Concert

Dear friends,

On May 2, 2025, at 5:00 PM, the Isa Baizakov Pavlodar Regional Philharmonic cordially invites you to a heartfelt performance by the Nur Dance Ensemble, under the direction of Honoured Cultural Worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Aigul Dairbayeva.

As we approach one of the most profound and soul-stirring commemorations - the 80th Anniversary of the Great Victory - our memories grow ever more precious. The further we move from those harrowing wartime years, the more we cherish the legacy of our fathers and grandfathers who endured the frontlines to give us a sky free of bombs and a life of peace.

The concert programme «These Roads Must Not Be Forgotten» is a seamless narrative told through choreography. Each performance interweaves into the next, recounting the powerful story of how young boys and girls - fresh from their school graduations - courageously marched into war. Their heroism, resilience, and sacrifice shaped the course of victory. Between battles, in rare moments of calm, they recalled their peaceful lives, loved ones, and homes. Even amid hardship, there was room for songs by the campfire and fleeting moments of dance.

Through music, movement, and theatrical artistry, the professional performers of the Philharmonic will bring these moving stories to life: the Nur Dance Ensemble, soloists Zhibek Aitbayeva, Alizhan Kazbekov, Madiyar Bakhtiyarov, and special guests - the Sauletai vocal studio of the Palace of Schoolchildren.
