NURZHAMAL INVITES YOU

On June 4 at 7:00 PM, the Yerkegali Rakhmadiyev State Academic Philharmonic will host a special creative evening titled «Nurzhamal Invites You», featuring the People's Artist of Kazakhstan and Tatarstan, laureate of the State Prize of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Nurzhamal Usenbayeva.

Nurzhamal Usenbayeva’s artistry has earned global acclaim. Her stellar career began at the Abay Kazakh National Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre in Almaty, and soon led her to triumphs on some of the world’s most prestigious stages: Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center (New York, USA), Salle Cortot (Paris, France), Concertgebouw and Care Theater (Amsterdam, Netherlands), Coliseu dos Recreios (Lisbon, Portugal), Bolshoi Theatre, Moscow Conservatory’s Great and Rachmaninoff Halls, Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Theatre (Moscow, Russia), and the Musa Jalil Tatar State Opera and Ballet Theatre (Kazan, Tatarstan).

She has received praise from top international media. Daily News hailed her as «the songbird of her people,» while Izvestia described her as «the finest Violetta, blending European-level artistry with vocal finesse and the grace of a charming Almaty native.» Evening Kazan wrote with admiration:

Nurzhamal Usenbayeva is a rare talent - combining vocal mastery, captivating stage presence, artistic elegance, and profound spiritual depth. Her versatile repertoire spans opera, operetta, musical theatre, chamber and vocal music, Kazakh folk songs, and even jazz. Every piece she performs is imbued with soul and sincerity, as she fully inhabits each role and shares a piece of her heart with the audience.

Since 1998, she has been a soloist of the Yerkegali Rakhmadiyev State Academic Philharmonic. «Nurzhamal Invites You» marks a milestone in her creative journey - a celebration of her artistic maturity and decades-long stage legacy.

The programme features:
- Patriotic compositions by Tulegen Mukhamerzhanov: «Astana», «Tugan zher», and «Otan» accompanied by symphony orchestra
- «Kazakh Waltz» by Latif Khamidi
- Operatic arias by Mozart (Don Giovanni), Gounod (Faust), Dvořák (Rusalka), Rossini (The Barber of Seville), and a duet from Leoncavallo’s Pagliacci
- A symphonic work by Anton Bruckner
- A medley performed by young rising stars: Nursat Almas, Altynbek Arystanbek, and Rinat Nurmukhan

The evening will culminate in a joyful collective rendition of the classic «Volare», followed by Tulegen Mukhamerzhanov’s stirring «Otan» - a powerful ode to the homeland and the transformative force of art.

Special Guest:
Renowned Czech baritone Filip Bandžak, BBC Cardiff Singer of the World laureate, celebrated for his performances at the Hungarian State Opera, Prague National Theatre, the Bolshoi, and beyond.

Conductor:
Jan Pellant (USA), Artistic Director of the North Idaho Philharmonia and acclaimed master of symphonic conducting.
