From Classical Music to Jazz
On January 23, 2026, at 7:00 PM, the Chamber Hall of the E. Rakhmadiyev State Academic Philharmonic will host a concert by the K. Zhumakenov Wind Orchestra titled «From Classical Music to Jazz».
This musical evening explores the artistic nature of wind instruments, showcasing their wide expressive range, rich timbral colors, and distinctive character across different musical styles and historical eras.
The concert program features works by George Gershwin, Camille Saint-Saëns, Arthur Pryor, James Last, compositions by contemporary composers, as well as arrangements by N. Pochitalin based on Kazakh folklore and the music of Abai. The repertoire brings together classical music, elements of jazz, and national musical traditions, forming a unique and vibrant artistic palette.
The audience will hear trumpet, trombone, French horn, oboe, saxophone, clarinet, bassoon, and tuba, presented both in solo performances and ensemble settings.
The concert promises to become a meaningful cultural event for music lovers, offering aesthetic pleasure, emotional discovery, and fresh musical impressions.
