On December 13, 2025, at 5:00 PM, the chamber hall of the E. Rakhmadiev State Academic Philharmonic will host a traditional kui concert titled «The Legacy of the Deep Tone», organized by the «Saryarka» Folk Music Ensemble. The evening will present the rich heritage of Kazakh instrumental music and traditional performance artistry to the audience.

The program opens with Kurmangazy’s famous kui «Kök Ala At». This will be followed by performances of the renowned kuishi’s works «Akbai» and «Baizhuma» by People’s Artist of Kazakhstan, Turar Alipbaev.

Erbolat Sapuanov, Honored Worker of Culture, will perform Qyzdarbek’s «Mun» and Sembek’s «Naz Kosbasar» on the dombra. Omar Raikhan will play «Marshin» by Zhappas Kalambaev on the saz syrnai, while Zhiger Bertisov will perform «Sary Kamys» and «Zholauysh».

During the evening, other acclaimed performers—including People’s Artist of Kazakhstan Bakhytzhan Duisengaziev, Karagoz Gasimova, Shygys Mahan, and Akerke Zhokin—will showcase their mastery, revealing the natural tone, depth, and emotion of Kazakh kui on their respective instruments.

The concert will conclude with the ensemble performing «Akku» by Nurgisa Tilendiev and Kurmangazy’s iconic «Saryarka», leaving the audience with an unforgettable experience.

This concert aims to promote Kazakh national music, celebrate the spirit of the people, and highlight the virtuosity of kuishi. The «Saryarka» ensemble promises to deliver the timeless resonance of Kazakh kui with fresh vitality and emotion.
