We’ve all heard «The Ballad of the Smoke-Filled Train Car», with its poignant refrain: «Don’t part with those you love.» But what if it’s not a train car - but neighbouring apartments in a typical Almaty courtyard?

In this story, former spouses Dauken and Ziyada, now living separate lives with new families, find themselves side by side once more. It seems fate has brought them together again - perhaps for one last honest conversation, a long-awaited apology, or a final reckoning with the emotions they once shared.

Each must now face a question: What truly matters more - personal grievances, past love, or the power of real forgiveness?
