The Astana City Administration’s State Academic Philharmonic named after Erkegali Rakhmadiev presents the concert «Sounds of Saryarka», dedicated to the 210th anniversary of the great Kazakh composer and kyui master Tattimbet Kazangapuly.

The concert will feature works by Tattimbet, as well as compositions by his followers, including Toka, Kyzdarbek, Sembek, Ashimtay, Dairabay, Abiken, Akkiz, and Magauia.

The evening will be hosted and performed by the distinguished kyui master, Professor and Honored Worker of Kazakhstan, Bilal Iskakov, who has extensively researched Tattimbet’s life and works and authored the encyclopedic work «Sounds of Saryarka» about the great composer and his followers. Also performing will be renowned kyui masters: Honored Artist of Kazakhstan Zhangali Zhuzbay, art critic Akhat Baibosynov, Order of Kurmet laureate Zhanar Zhusipova, and other celebrated musicians.

The artistic director and principal conductor of the Kazakh Orchestra is People’s Artist of Kazakhstan, Honored Worker of Kazakhstan, recipient of the Order of Parasat, Professor Aitkali Zhaimov. The concert will also feature conductor and cultural figure Nurlan Bekenov.
