Diana Vishneva in Scheherazade - the main cultural event of the season in Astana, presented by Ballet Globe!

Astana Opera, together with the International Ballet Festival Ballet Globe, presents an exclusive evening of ballets by Mikhail Fokine - a visionary who revolutionised the language of classical dance.

On September 20, the highlight of the evening is Diana Vishneva, one of the most acclaimed and influential ballerinas of our time.
The prima of the Mariinsky Theatre, known for her extraordinary stage presence, will perform the role of Scheherazade - a part that demands not only impeccable technique but also deep emotional expression.
Her partner for the evening is Konstantin Zverev, First Soloist of the Mariinsky Theatre.

Programme:

Part I - Chopiniana - delicate lyricism and poetry of movement set to the music of Chopin
Part II - Scheherazade - a vibrant and sensual performance to the music of Rimsky-Korsakov

Fokine was a revolutionary who stood at the origins of the ballet transformation of the 20th century. His works still feel strikingly modern - they speak of the soul, drama, and the human condition.
The evening will be accompanied by the Astana Opera Symphony Orchestra.
