«The Nutcracker» with stars from Ballet Globe»

The International Dance Festival Ballet Globe and the Abay Kazakh National Opera and Ballet Theatre invite residents and guests of the city to one of the most anticipated events of December: "The Nutcracker with Stars by Ballet Globe". The eternal music of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky will come to life once again in a production by the People's Artist of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Gulzhan Tutkibayeva.

The story of a prince cursed into a toy and the brave Masha who helps him defeat the Mouse King has long become a symbol of Christmas magic. In this production, it takes on a special warmth and depth, reminding us that miracles happen where people believe in them.

Ballet Globe performances will take place from December 24 to 26 at 13:00 and 19:00.

On December 24 and 25, the Abay Theatre stage will feature American Ballet Theatre and Staatsballett Berlin principal, world ballet star Daniil Simkin, and the refined prima ballerina of the Bolshoi Theatre, Anastasia Stashkevich. Their duet offers a rare opportunity to see world-class artists in Almaty, whose mastery creates a subtle emotional connection on stage based on purity of movement, musicality, and the inner breath of the performance.

On December 26, a brilliant meeting with stars of the Bolshoi Theatre awaits the audience: principal Artemy Belyakov and prima ballerina Evgenia Obraztsova. Their duet combines nobility and strength, airiness and expressiveness, making the classics alive and truly magical.
