This story could have happened at any time, in any dacha neighborhood - but only in summer! Because in summer the birds chirp so brightly and cheerfully, and the crickets sing so loudly, that they can almost drown out the never-ending noise of railway construction - which, heaven forbid, might even turn toward your very own dacha… No, no - no need to panic! Panicking and untangling the mess will be left to young dacha girl Manya, an aspiring actress. After all, birds and crickets can’t always cover up a role’s lines being rehearsed out loud… and sometimes an actor’s text can reveal SUCH things that the whole dacha settlement is turned upside down and rumors begin to fly! And rumors, as we all know, are the best excuse for a funny, vivid story.
Youth, love, dancing, and the actors’ live singing - in other words, real theatre in its purest form!
