«Symphonic Christmas joy»
On January 8, 2025, at 7:00 PM, the concert hall of the E. Rakhmadiyev State Academic Philharmonic will host the Symphonic Orchestra concert «Symphonic Christmas Joy». The program features selected works by renowned international and Kazakh composers.
The concert opens with «Dairabay,» a symphonic kyui by E. Rakhmadiyev, a work that masterfully unites national musical identity with symphonic thinking. This is followed by «Troika» and «Waltz» from Georgy Sviridov’s musical illustrations to Alexander Pushkin’s novella «The Snowstorm.»
The central part of the evening presents a suite from Pyotr Tchaikovsky’s world-famous ballet «The Nutcracker», creating a truly festive atmosphere. Antonio Vivaldi’s «Winter» from The Four Seasons will be performed by soloist Saltanat Orynbayeva.
The program continues with the Overture to Georges Bizet’s opera «Carmen» and Gabriel Fauré’s «Pavane.» A contemporary original work, «Happy New Year» by A. Serkebayeva, will be performed by soloist Zhamilya Dilisheva.
The concert concludes with Johann Strauss’s iconic «The Blue Danube» Waltz and the Overture to the operetta «Die Fledermaus».
This concert stands out for its stylistic diversity, characteristic of classical music, and its high level of artistic performance.
