Lessons of the Heart
Love: salvation or captivity?
We look for love, believe in it, sometimes dissolve in it... But does it always heal? Or does it sometimes become a trap in which we lock ourselves?
ART&MESS Theatre invites you to the play ‘Lessons of the Heart’ by Irina Vaskovskaya - a story in which love is intertwined with pain, hope with disappointment, and reality with illusion.
This is not just a story about relationships. It is a journey into the deepest corners of the soul.
- What to do when love turns out to be as fragile as glass?
- How to learn to distinguish between the real feeling and the fear of loneliness?
- Is it possible to protect loved ones from their own mistakes?
Larisa dreams of love, the same love - strong, all-consuming, saving. She believes she has found it.... But has she? Or is it not the one in front of her, but only a reflection of her own fears, the shadows of the past?
This performance is a subtle and poignant story about how often we love not those we see in front of us, but their images in our thoughts. About how the past invisibly grows in us and makes choices for us. About how it's not easy to get out of a vicious circle if you don't know where the exit is.
A daughter and a mother. Man and woman. Dark and light. Freedom and dependence.
What is love to you - power or captivity? Answer this question when the hall lights go out and the stage begins to tell its story.
