For the first time on the stage of the Astana Opera Chamber Hall, as part of the International Festival “Operalia”, an evening of cello music will be presented by talented Kazakhstani cellist Salauat Karibayev and pianist Aliyar Otetleu.
Salauat Karibayev is a virtuoso cellist and currently a soloist with the Zhambyl State Philharmonic in Almaty. He regularly performs on concert stages throughout Kazakhstan and abroad. His performances combine flawless technique with emotional depth, creating unforgettable musical impressions.
With extensive orchestral experience, Salauat Karibayev has appeared as a guest artist with renowned ensembles such as the Zurich Symphony Orchestra, Beijing Symphony Orchestra, Latvian Symphony Orchestra and the Symphony Orchestra of India. His success in international competitions — including Grand Prix and First Prizes in Switzerland, Armenia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan — highlights his exceptional musicality.
Aliyar Otetleu is a gifted Kazakhstani pianist and accompanist, acclaimed for his virtuosic performances and participation in prestigious music projects. He commands a wide-ranging repertoire — from classical works (Schubert, Bartók) to modern arrangements of Kazakh folk music. He also serves as music producer for the renowned Kazakhstani vocal ensemble Mezzo.
