Exhibition - «Abai Legacy: The Wisdom of the People»

From 20 November to 19 December 2025, the National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan presents the exhibition «Abai’s Legacy: The Wisdom of the People», dedicated to the 180th anniversary of the great Kazakh poet and thinker Abai Kunanbayuly.

The exhibition features photographs, written works and personal belongings of the poet, including his dombra, togyzqumalak set, wooden flask, hunting belt and whip. The display is complemented by artworks created by contemporary Kazakhstani artists on this theme.

The project is organised in collaboration with the State Historical, Cultural and Literary Memorial Reserve-Museum of Abai «Zhidebai-Börili».

Special Offers

Every third Sunday of the month, admission is free of charge for citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan (except for international exhibitions).

During school holidays, entry to the permanent and temporary exhibitions (excluding international exhibitions) is free for children.

Title: Museum Admission without the «Gold» Halls.
Includes access to all permanent and temporary exhibition halls, except the Gold Halls and international exhibitions.

Category 2

Title: Museum Admission with the «Gold» Halls.
Includes the permanent exhibitions, temporary displays and the Gold Halls (excluding international exhibitions).

Category 3

Museum visit + 1 international exhibition (without the Gold Halls).
Includes the permanent exhibitions, temporary displays and one international exhibition (Gold Halls excluded).

Category 4

Museum visit + 1 international exhibition (with the Gold Halls).
Includes the permanent exhibitions, temporary displays, one international exhibition and the Gold Halls.
