The voice of Abay is the voice of today, the voice of the people. The great Abay foresaw a united and independent Kazakhstan, despite the Tsarist government’s attempts to bring the Kazakh nation under colonial control and favor other religions. Standing in respect of the spirits of past khans and warriors, he saw that the righteous path laid by the ancestors was true. His lofty dreams, once constrained by the «narrow times», now echo in our era, fulfilled and expanded beyond his imagination.
Let us immerse ourselves in Abay’s heartfelt laments and his songs and poems, written for his people, and revisit the trials of past times together. Together, let us unravel the «fragile threads of a harsh life», esteemed audience, and connect with the spirit of the past.
