There was a war tomorrow
Tomorrow Was the War is a profound and moving production that transports the audience to the years 1940-1941 - to a world of youth filled with dreams and hope. Ninth-grade students live their usual school lives, preparing for graduation, unaware that their world is about to change forever. Through the lens of their personal stories, the play touches on timeless themes of honour, loyalty, and standing up against injustice.
On stage, we see a world where teenagers have yet to encounter the brutal truths of adulthood, but are already standing on the threshold of inevitable change. At the heart of the story is Vika Lyuberetskaya, a girl whose life is turned upside down when her father is arrested for alleged counterrevolutionary activities. Despite threats and pressure, Vika refuses to denounce her father - a choice that seals her fate.
