Two brilliant musicians, long appreciated by audiences in our country, will meet on the stage of the theatre’s Chamber Hall – cellist Yermek Kurmanayev, Honoured Worker of Kazakhstan, and pianist Anara Kamelinova, Madeniyet Salasynyn Uzdigi.
In 2022, their duo deservedly received the UMAI National Award in the category “Best Musical Ensemble”.
Their partnership is distinguished by profound interpretations and a rare, finely tuned sense of ensemble. Together, they create that remarkable form of collaboration in which two soloists sound as a single artistic whole.
The concert programme features two outstanding works for cello and piano – the sonatas of César Franck and Sergei Rachmaninoff. This is a meeting of two emotional worlds: the luminous lyricism of French Romanticism and the expansive, passionate expressiveness of the Russian tradition, in which the music unfolds gradually, leading the listener along and telling its story through the voices of two instruments.
