Zoloto in Almaty

ZOLOTO is Vladimir Zolotukhin - songwriter, frontman, and multi-instrumentalist behind the entire ZOLOTO project.

ZOLOTO performs elegant retro-pop - a stylish take on Soviet-era variety music, when VIA bands graced the chubby TV screens, and fans hunted for rare vinyl records on the black market.

In an era of flickering, fast-paced songs, his music feels both futuristic and daring. If today’s pop culture is an endless party, Zolotukhin is the thoughtful guy standing in the corner - and that’s precisely what draws people in. Audiences come to ZOLOTO concerts to listen to songs they know - but what they find is a club of souls catching sly cultural references and poetic nostalgia.

Where else will you hear noble nods to Gubin, Shura, Zemfira - or even «black cumin seed oil»?

One of the highlights is the acoustic set, which takes up a third of the show and offers a gentle, almost sacred catharsis. It simply must be heard live.

ZOLOTO’s music - onstage and in recordings - evokes a genuine sense of inner freedom. Like touching something larger than life. Maybe it’s as simple as this: love.

Albums:
- «Ne perezhivay» (Don’t Worry) - a timeless indie-pop blend that fits the 80s, 2000s, or any decade ahead.
- «8 Months in Vegas» - a personal style breakthrough, layered with aching guitars, brass, and strings, with lyrical nods to Gubin and Zemfira.
- «Vse vernetsya» (Everything Will Return) - a bold, nostalgic record, crowned by a stunning reinterpretation of Shura’s hit as a lament for lost time.
- «Perevoplotit'sya» (Reincarnate) - released in 2024, remains in the global top charts. Featuring vintage guitars and no synths, this fully live-recorded album reveals Zolotukhin’s most personal sound yet.

Hit Singles:
- «Grustno na afterparty» - a playful TikTok smash with biting punchlines.
- «Neproizoshlo» - a reflective ballad about love, loss, and wishing to turn back time.
- «O budushchem» (About the Future) - a retro-styled track featured in the series Ballet.

Live band:
Herman Tigai - bass, Daniil Morozov - drums, Igor Gribov - guitar and keys.
A seemingly minimal setup - but anyone who’s been to a ZOLOTO show knows the power of their sound.
